Institute of Microbiology

Introduction:

The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) at Gulab Devi Educational Complex (GDEC) was established in 2016, with a goal to integrate education, research, and innovation in the fields of life sciences. The institute offers BS degree programs in three core disciplines; Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Microbiology. These programs provide students with the flexibility to tailor their education according to their evolving skills and interests. In essence, the Institute provides a strong foundation in the life sciences while fostering interdisciplinary thinking and a robust quantitative framework for academic development and advanced research. Students learn from experienced faculty and researchers who offer mentorship and guidance in answering complex scientific questions to address real-world biological problems. With a curriculum grounded in cutting-edge education, practical training, and a strong emphasis on quantitative and analytical skills, students are well-prepared to thrive in academia, research, industry, healthcare, and emerging bioscience fields. Ultimately, the Institute serves as a dynamic hub for scientific inquiry, where traditional boundaries between disciplines are actively bridged.

Vision:
