Introduction:

Institute of Biochemistry was established in 2016 under Gulab Devi Educational Complex, (GDEC) Lahore. The Institute has highly qualified faculty, a beautifully constructed buildings, library facility, and a well-equipped teaching and research laboratories that makes it state of the art Institute. The academic programs at the Institute are designed to meet the needs of well-trained manpower to serve the education, health, agriculture, and industrial sectors of the country.

To make the Institute a Center of Excellence in the field of Biochemistry, that fosters scientific ideas and skills, to enhance the quality of life with a better future.

Mission:

The mission of the Institute of Biochemistry is to;

develop an academic environment for preparing undergraduates with broad spectrum of knowledge in concepts and principles of Biochemistry.
provide students with world-class education, fundamental knowledge, and effective application of the scientific method.
nurture critical thinking, debate and culture of scientific inquiry.
encourage and assure high quality research and scholarly activity among faculty and students.
create an environment and opportunity for faculty to work with strong determination and zeal.

Objectives:

The Institute is currently offering 4 years BS degree program in the subject of Biochemistry, affiliated with Government College University Faisalabad, Faisalabad. The program has well defined objectives;

To prepare students for future careers in various fields in which a core understanding of the Biochemistry of biological processes is important.
To enhance the understanding of human health by focusing on the scientific disciplines such as Human Biochemistry, Medical Biochemistry and Biotechnology.
The program will benefit the society on the whole by adding the highly skilled scientific workforce, particularly in the biomedical research sectors, in academia, industry as well as for research laboratories across the country and the globe.
