Introduction:

Gulab Devi Institute of Physiotherapy was established in 2013 affiliated with University of Sargodha. It offers a five-year degree program of Doctor of Physical Therapy. It has well established department of Physical Therapy with all the modern facilities fulfilling all the needs of current era. It has well equipped department of Electrotherapy, Kinesiology and skilled labs and rehabilitation unit for training of students. Since its inception, Gulab Devi Institute of Physiotherapy/Department of Physical Therapy, Gulab Devi Hospital, Lahore has trained a large no of Physical Therapists who are serving throughout Pakistan and abroad.

Our Vision is to establish a state of the art teaching, clinical & research institute of Physiotherapy for basic & advance training along with quality Physiotherapy education with current national & international higher standards.

The department of Physiotherapy is committed to address the health needs of society through excellence in education, services and professional practice in the field of Physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Program Outcomes:

GRADUATES OF THE DOCTOR OF PHYSIOTHERAPY PROGRAMME WILL:

Provide effective and efficient patient centered care to diverse population across the lifespan.
Incorporate sound clinical reasoning and problem solving to make evidence based practice decisions and recommendations in all aspects of patient management.
Demonstrate in depth knowledge of the basic and clinical sciences relevant to Physiotherapy, both in their fundamental context and in their application to the discipline of Physiotherapy.
Engage in reflective practice through sound clinical decision making, critical thinking, manual dexterity and commitment to lifelong learning.
Demonstrate professional clinical skills and services includes Physiotherapy examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention, prevention activities, Wellness initiatives and appropriate health care utilization.
Demonstrate the professional and social skills to adapt to changing health care environment to effectively provide Physiotherapy care.
Collaborate effectively as a member and leader of an inter-professional team to provide evidence-based and patient-centered care.
